La Seta Jungle Kitchen at Tierra Santa Reconnect

La Seta · Jungle Kitchen

Costa Rican roots. A modern table.

Traditional Costa Rican cooking reimagined as intimate fine cuisine — seasonal, generous and closely connected to the finca.

The origin

A taste of primal trust

Una Noche en el Bosque

Dinner at 18:00, two nights in one of our four rooms and breakfast in the forest — Friday to Sunday, booked together.

Do you know the feeling when a single bite carries you back to a place where every worry falls away and the world suddenly feels completely at peace?

The idea for La Seta Jungle Kitchen was born on a walk through the deep, living rainforest of Bali. After a hot, humid trail to a hidden waterfall, I found a tiny hut. There, in the midst of the lush wilderness, an old woman cooked over an open fire — without electricity or running water — a simple dish of eggs, avocado and freshly baked bread.

With the first bite, something magical happened: I instantly felt as safe, sheltered and held as if I were sitting at my grandmother's kitchen table at home. In that moment I understood: when we live in harmony with the wildness of nature, there is nothing to fear.

That feeling of deep primal trust is what we wish to share with you today. Our kitchen is a homage to the honest dishes of "simple people" — refined with the wild, elegant magic of the Costa Rican rainforest. When you taste our warm banana bread with indigenous cacao, fresh cardamom and ripe maduros, you taste not only the abundance of the finca. You taste coming home to yourself.

Welcome home. Welcome to the wild.
